John and his wife Lisa own Team 21x (Excitement Racing, Inc.). The 32 year old Omaha native has been racing for eleven years, starting in the Street Stock (Flyer) division at Eagle Raceway, and rapidly progressing to NASCAR’s premier weekly division, the Winston Racing Series Late Models. John co-owns Anderson Signs, Inc., with his father, Bob. John and Lisa have two children; daughter Alissa, 6 years old, and son John Jr. (J.J.), who is 4.

Team 21x is actually a combination of two great racing teams, Team 21x Racing owned by John Anderson and Gerdes Racing owned by Kyle Gerdes. Team 21x is located on a 1 acre lot at 5510 N. 75th Street, in Omaha, Nebraska. Their 2000 square foot fully equipped race shop is the home for a Late Model Stock Car, built by American Made Chassis of Joplin, MO, and two Modifieds, owned by Kyle Gerdes, from Jet Mods in Beatrice, NE and Pro Modifieds in Arthur, ND. Their Chevrolet engines are supplied by Spanel Engines of Lincoln, NE.

John Anderson is currently a Late Model and a Modified driver. He used to race Chargers and Street Stocks here at Park Jefferson International Speedway.

He races weekly at Sunset Speedway of Omaha, Nebraska. Their team runs both Late Models and Modifieds, running both cars is not too hard when things are going good for them. They travel to several tracks all around. It is impressive that they won both the features of the late models and the modifieds at Park Jefferson Speedway on opening night May 1, 1999. John probably couldn’t have won those races without the help of his great racing team..
